LTES PTA GOLDEN ACORN AWARD We invite you to participate in the selection of an award recipient(s) through your recommendations and/or assisting in the selection process! The Golden Acorn Award is presented by a local PTA unit or council to a volunteer in recognition of his/her dedication and service to children and youth. Since the beginning of this program, more than 44,000 Golden Acorns have been presented to volunteers throughout Washington State. A contribution in the name of the recipient(s) is made by the honoring PTA to the Washington State PTA financial Grant Foundation. From these contribution, the foundation is able to provide approximately $65,000 in scholarships to freshman students entering post-secondary education. Each year the LTES PTA gives Golden Acorn Award(s) to honorees who have given exemplary volunteer service. The individual who receives the Golden Acorn Award should have volunteer experience at the local unit level, as well as in the community and/or with the school district. This is an excellent way to honor PTA members for their contributions on behalf of children. If you know of someone deserving of this award, click here to complete an online nomination form. Or print and complete the form below and forward it to the school, attention "PTA Golden Acorn Committee" by TBD. The LTES PTA Golden Acorn Awards Committee will take all recommendations under consideration. However, the final decision will rest with the committee.
