Our RAH Volunteers: Click link on school to see results and information: RAH! (Reading at Home) PROGRAM RAH is a PTA sponsored program that encourages students to read when they are away from school. Students record the number of minutes they read and/or an adult reads to them each day and are awarded ribbons and other prizes for their minutes. Guidelines: - Please record minutes legibly on RAH calendar and list total weekly minutes as well as total minutes for month. Please return calendars to your student’s teacher by the 1st of each month.
Student Awards: - Lunch with the Principal for the top 4 readers each month in each grade. Students may win this honor only once throughout the year.
- Ribbons will be awarded for each 500 minutes read up to 5000 total minutes for Pre-K to 3
rd Grade - Ribbons will be awarded for each 1000 minutes read up to 5000 total minutes for 4
th and 5th Grade - After 5000 minutes special prizes will be awarded at 6500, 8500 and 10,000 total cumulative minutes.
Class Awards (Dieringer Heights Only): - Each class will have the opportunity to win the RAH! Trophy to display in their class each month.
School Wide Goal - School Goal is 1,800,000 total minutes read
Minutes are due on the 1st of each month for the preceding month’s minutes. Minutes are considered late if not received on the morning of the 5th of the month. Late minutes will be added to the child’s total minutes, however, they do not count towards that month’s Lunch with the Principal award or Class Trophy.
